Mount Sainte-Victoire is a limestone mountain in the south of France with an area of 6664 ha. Its highest point is the Pic des mouches (1011 m).
A symbol of Provence, the mountain is known as a muse of Paul Cézanne (1839-1906) and appears in more than 80 of his paintings. The presence of these paintings in the most prestigious museums of the world (New York, Paris, London, Moscow) turned this mountain also into a cultural symbol.
